About El Camino de mi Duelo
This illustrated poetry book emerged from the quiet, personal grief I experienced when my grandmother passed away in Mexico—far from me in France. It was my first experience of losing a loved one, and I found myself facing grief in solitude. In that silence, I began writing poems to her—without knowing they would later become a book. Over time, I illustrated these poems and added a journal, with the purpose of turning grief into a path of self-discovery and healing.
Though different from my visual artwork, this project belongs to the same universe: going back to human. It carries the essence of vulnerability, love, and memory. Written in Spanish—my mother tongue—the book invites readers on a deeply personal journey through mourning and remembrance.
*Currently the book exists only in spanish edition.
